IPS Light - - the fault detector with relay protection performance

Based upon the patented measuring method of Protrol
IPS Light uses the detecting method developed by Protrol - PAD; Phase Asymmetry Detection - based upon an analysis of the phase currents.  The sensitivity at 5A grounding fault resistance is 10kOhm fault resistance for earth faults and 130% of the CT rated current for short circuit with 150/1A CT transformers and a system voltage of 10 kV.

Distinct fault indication provides quick localization of the fault
When an interruption has occurred, the detector indicates with a red flashing light for pass through fault and a green one when the faulty current has not passed the substation. The signal can be seen on the outside of the station, which means that you can stay in your car and verify which stations the fault has passed. On the internal LEDs you can see whether faults of short duration have been registered, before they develop into a permanent one.
(The detector can also be provided with a potential-free closing control)

Maintenance free with no need for batteries
The construction of IPS Light is made for maintenance free function year after year. A very small amount of current is needed for the fault indication which works up to 24 hours after an interruption using built-in ultra capacitors. Therefore, there is no need for battery back-up.

No settings are required
IPS Light is delivered preset and ready to install. No further configuration is needed.
